almost random books to choose from

My list of books, vote now or forever (or at least for a month) hold your peace:

Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency (Douglas Adams is GREAT, and though this story is a little odd, it is fun and it comes together surprisingly well at the end)

A Study in Scarlet (the first Sherlock Holmes story, and though not my favorite, it features Brigham Young)

The Walking Drum (my wife read this and can not stop raving about it)

New Year, New PVS List

I meant to do this a week or two ago during my Christmas break. Of course I also meant to do work on my thesis over the break as well. Anyway, the results of randomizing the order for book selection:

I don't really expect those months to remain fixed; we'll probably slip a slush month in here and there.

P.S.- I don't suppose anyone ever invited a spouse to post to the site? If any of your wives would like to participate in the PVS book club just let me know. I love the current PVS dynamic, but a little feminine perspective (probably) wouldn't hurt.
